Three retail facilities opened in the last quarter of this year: Millenium Hall in Rzeszow, Futura Park in Krakow and Galeria Ostrovia in Ostrow Wielkopolski. They account for nearly one fourth of this year total retail space supply. Cushman & Wakefield was responsible for their commercialisation.

Millenium Hall, the largest retail and cultural centre in Rzeszow, providing a wide range of goods, services and entertainment, officially opened its doors on 15 October this year. The scheme has the area of 110,000 sq m, with 56,612 sq m designated for lease. Millenium Hall is located in the centre of Rzeszow, on Rejtana street the city's main shopping destination. The shopping gallery houses 250 stores, conference rooms and hotel facilities for business clients. It boasts an indoor event area with a multimedia fountain. It can accommodate around 6,000 people and is easily adapted to suit a wide variety of cultural and leisure events. Anja Rubik, Rzeszow-born model, has become its brand ambassador. Millenium Hall is the largest shopping gallery in Poland delivered in 2011. In addition to owner representation and leasing services Cushman & Wakefield was involved in the design works. The author of the Millenium Hall's interior design is Magdalena Mika-Kosior from Cushman & Wakefield Polska. The owner of Millenium Hall is Develop Investment.

Futura Park Kraków opened on 19 October. The 44,000 sq m facility combines the retail park function with an outlet centre. It is home to 140 stores, services and restaurants. This is the first retail scheme in Poland to have been awarded a BREEAM certificate for sustainability. The investor is the Spanish company NEINVER.

Galeria Ostrovia, opened in 14 October, is the first large scale retail facility in Ostrow Wielkopolski. The scheme comprises 36,000 sq m of leaseable area and offers 100 stores. The investor is West Investment of Saller Group. The general contractor is Budrem, the designer Pentagram.

"We are proud to have been instructed to act in the commercialisation of retail space in these prestigious projects. Professional consultancy at the early stage of the project's development process enables the investor to position the optimal tenant mix for the benefit of the owner of the facility, its clients and tenants. All three schemes are almost fully let" - said Piotr Kaszyński, Partner and head of retail department at Cushman & Wakefield.
